AYAQ helps you choose your ski size.
To make ski touring a real pleasure, you need good equipment, but above all equipment that is adapted to your size. Here are some tips on how to choose the perfect ski.
1 - Adapt your ski to your practice
Usually, for all-round use, the ski should be between 5 and 8 cm shorter than its owner. However, the size varies depending on the activity. For example, if you are going to be a freerunner, your skis will need to be your size, as well as being wide enough.
2 - Adapt your skiing to the conditions
Are you planning to ski at the end of the season, when the mercury rises and the slopes are grittier? Choose a slightly shorter ski, which will make it easier to convert.
3 - Adapt your skiing to your level
As a general rule, beginners are advised to choose a wider and longer ski to make it easier to ski. However, if you like a challenge, try skiing with a thinner skate!
