Repairs

Extending the lifespan of our products is integral to our sustainability approach. AYAQ offers a repair service to maintain and extend the life of your technical outerwear, whether covered by the AYAQ Warranty or not.

1. Repair rather than discard

We prefer to repair rather than discard, and we offer to repair your second and third layer technical garments that have suffered damage or show signs of prolonged use.

2. The AYAQ Warranty

AYAQ products are guaranteed for their entire useful life against any manufacturing or material defects. This warranty covers design, material, or manufacturing defects affecting the product's functionality.

If a defect is detected, AYAQ will proceed with a free repair, or replace the product if repair is not feasible. Shipping costs for sending and returning are covered by AYAQ under a warranty-covered repair. Each request is evaluated individually to prioritize repair, in line with our sustainability approach.

To fully benefit from the AYAQ Warranty, products purchased from partner retailers must be registered on the ayaq.com site after creating a customer account.

3. Repairing a product defect

Our value chain and quality control are designed to prevent any product defects. However, if a defect should be detected, repairs are carried out free of charge when they fall under the AYAQ Warranty (see this page for conditions). Shipping costs are then fully covered by AYAQ.

Repairs are carried out as far as possible, depending on the availability of parts and technical feasibility. In cases where repair is not possible on a product with a defect covered by the AYAQ Warranty, a replacement or a credit of equivalent value will be offered to the customer, at AYAQ's discretion.

4. Non-defect repairs

If your product is not or is no longer eligible for the Warranty, we can assess its repairability. Shipping costs are then the responsibility of the customer and charged for the return of the repaired product.

For first layer garments and accessories, we do not handle repairs, but can direct you to local tailoring solutions. When sending to our European workshops is not relevant, AYAQ relies on its network of international partner workshops (see paragraph 5) to offer a local solution that minimizes environmental impact and transportation costs.

Shipping costs for sending and returning are the responsibility of the customer, except in the case of a defect covered by the AYAQ Warranty. In this case, AYAQ fully covers the shipping and return costs.

This repair service is exclusively for individual customers who have purchased their products on the ayaq.com site. Repairs for business customers or partner retailers are subject to specific conditions.

5. Repairs by geographical areas

Outside of Europe, AYAQ sets up a network of partner workshops to ensure consistent after-sales service according to world regions. For Japan, the United States, and South Korea, AYAQ will use its official repair workshop present in the concerned country. This authorized partner will directly manage warranty and non-warranty repairs, according to the same quality standards as in Europe.

The precise contact details of the partner workshop will be communicated by our customer service at the time of the repair request, depending on the place of purchase and the type of product. This ensures efficient local management while guaranteeing the traceability and compliance of the AYAQ process.

7. Products purchased in store

Products purchased in store must be returned directly to the authorized retailer from whom the purchase was made. The retailer assesses the request and forwards, if necessary, the repair or warranty request to AYAQ. Our after-sales service does not directly handle returns from physical distribution channels.

 

Each repair contributes to extending the lifespan of your gear and reducing its environmental impact. At AYAQ, we consider sustainability as a performance in its own right.
