Oscar Burnham and Ambroise Abondance on a committed expedition north of the Arctic Circle
An Arctic dream, an unbreakable friendship
Born in Sicily, Oscar Burnham has always been drawn to the mountains. A climber, skier, and alpinist, he developed a deep connection with the mountains early on. In 2018, his path changed drastically after a serious accident led to the amputation of his left forearm. Yet his passion remained undiminished, and Oscar turned this challenge into strength.
Four years later, he proudly represented France at the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games in alpine skiing. A high-level achievement, but also a new beginning: Oscar is determined to keep exploring and pushing the physical and symbolic limits of possibility.
In 2024, he set off with his friend Ambroise Abondance for a Norwegian expedition, away from the spotlight, into raw, stripped-back, powerful landscapes. This journey is not a sporting challenge but a voyage of fulfillment, camaraderie, and rediscovered freedom.

Beyond the cold, a story of connection
Ambroise and Oscar share more than a route: they share a vision. One where the mountain is a space for expression, not competition. Where fragility becomes strength, and textile technology serves personal achievement.
L’The Norwegian adventure pays tribute to this vision and to all who choose to keep moving forward, whatever the terrain.
