100% eco-designed collection

Windproof fabric 100% European polyester, mechanically recycled for reduced environmental impact. The breathable fabric uses 80% less adhesive than a standard two-layer fabric. Final production takes place in a 100% Green Energy European workshop.

Material composition

  • Windproof fabric: 100% recycled polyester
  • Breathable fabric: 84% recycled polyester and 16% elastane
  • Chest pocket: 100% recycled polyester

Windproof fabric (Italy): 100% mechanically recycled polyester

Breathable fabric (France): 100% recycled polyester from plastic bottle recycling. A 2-layer fabric specially developed for AYAQ, with approximately 80% less adhesive than a standard 2-layer fabric. Provides higher breathability and improved environmental performance.

Panel fabric (woven in France), made from 100% recycled polyester yarn sourced from plastic bottle recycling (Italy - Turin region). A bonded fabric developed exclusively for AYAQ, with at least 80% less adhesive than a standard 2-layer fabric thanks to an innovative process. This partnership with our supplier ensures enhanced breathability and better environmental performance.

Main pocket fabric (Italy): soft fleece feel, 100% recycled polyester

“Clean Mountain Pocket” fabric (Germany): SYMPATEX waterproof fabric made from recycled polyester, designed for a pocket that lets you carry out waste you find in the mountains.

Your SHANDAR jacket takes its name from a magnificent glacier in Pakistan. To honor and protect this ice giant, we have dedicated all efforts to designing an eco-friendly garment made from natural or recycled materials.

Care Instructions

Warranty, Care & Repair

Designed with meticulous care and the selection of the most technical, mountain-friendly materials, your Shandar jacket comes with a 3-year warranty.

Washing: Machine wash cold (30°C max), inside out, zippers closed. Use regular detergent, no fabric softener or bleach.

Drying: Air dry inside out. Do not tumble dry.


We also selected materials for durability, and our artisans’ craftsmanship ensures high resistance.

To ensure it accompanies you on many outdoor adventures, we will repair your SHANDAR Softshell Jacket whenever possible in our workshop near the Alps.
